My Mail Signature compatibility

Will My Mail Signature work with my ISP?

Yes, My Mail Signature will work with any ISP. However, if you are using AOL, MSN, Compuserve or SBC, the built-in browser provided by your ISP will NOT display My Mail Signature or your toolbar. They do not work with the built-in browser. Instead, you MUST:

1) Launch Internet Explorer 5.01 or above from your desktop.  (Don't have it? Download here.)
2) Find the "My Web Search" or "My Way Search" toolbar on your browser.

Note to AOL Mail 9.0 users: As of 3/11/04, My Mail Signature is compatible with your email system - you will see a small toolbar within your Compose/New Mail screen. If you do not see it, you will need to upgrade to the latest version of My Mail Signature.

My Mail Signature
and your toolbar will work with Internet Explorer versions 5.01  and above. (We encourage you to download Internet Explorer 6.0 and use it as your browser in order to enjoy My Mail Signature.)

Note to IncrediMail Users: You must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or above installed on your computer for My Mail Signature to work with IncrediMail. If you downloaded My Mail Signature on or prior to 3/11/04 AND upgraded your IncrediMail version or downloaded IncrediMail for the first time after Thanksgiving 2003, you will need to upgrade to the latest version of My Mail Signature. (It's free.)

Note to WebTV Users: My Mail Signature does not function with the WebTV interface.

Will My Mail Signature work with my email interface?

My Mail Signature is compatible with Outlook, Outlook Express, IncrediMail, AOL Mail 9.0, and the rich media/HTML-enabled version of most web-based email interfaces - it does not, however, work with the "plain" version. (Web-based email interfaces block graphics in their plain version.)

The good news is you can toggle between the plain and rich-media versions of most web-based email platforms with a click of the mouse. For information on how to set your email account to accept graphics, see your email provider's help section or read below:

  • Hotmail users
Select "Rich-Text Editor ON" from the Tools pull-down menu on your Compose screen. (IMPORTANT: It's often hard to tell whether Rich-Text Editor is ON or OFF. You will know that it is ON when the last item in the pull-down menu is "Rich-Text Editor OFF", and when there is an edit bar on the top of your email compose screen that includes icons for cut, paste, copy, bold, italicize and more.) (Click here to see a picture)

  • Yahoo users
Click the "Colors and Graphics" link at the top of your Compose screen. (Click here to see a picture)

  • Mail.com users
Click the "Switch to Power Editor" button on your Write Message screen. (Click here to see a picture)

  • Excite/iWon/My Way users

  • Earthlink users

  • Outlook users
You are on a read page. You must be on a New Mail page to add a signature.

  • IncrediMail users
You must have Internet Explorer 5.5 or above installed on your computer.

NOTE: If you downloaded My Mail Signature prior to 3/11/04 AND upgraded your IncrediMail version or downloaded IncrediMail for the first time after Thanksgiving 2003, you will need to upgrade to the latest version of My Mail Signature. (It's free.)

  • AOL Mail 9.0 users
You must be using AOL Mail 9.0. If you are, you will see the Mail Signature button at the top of your compose message window.

If you downloaded My Mail Signature prior to 3/11/04, you will need to upgrade to the latest version of My Mail Signature. (It's free.)
  • Netscape, Earthlink, Eudora & Juno users
My Mail Signature does not work with these email platforms.

If your email interface is compatible with My Mail Signature AND set to accept graphics (rich media version) and you are still getting an error message, be sure that your cursor is in the message body area of your email compose screen before trying to add your signature. If the cursor is in the "TO" "CC" or any other field, you cannot add a signature and will receive the error message above.
